Listen2YourSelfie Contest
Contest Official Rules
The Washington State Department of Health owns and runs the statewide Listen2YourSelfie Contest. GMMB Inc. (a communications agency in Seattle, WA) will send all contest communications. The Washington State Department of Health will own all entries and can use any entry as part of the Listen2YourSelfie youth marijuana prevention campaign.
How to enter
· Upload a video, photo, written response, or other multimedia entry at Listen2YourSelfie.org/contest.
· Videos should be less than 60 seconds (one minute). Essay responses should be less than 250 words.
· The contest allows up to two (2) entries per person, but each person may only win one prize. If there are two or more people in an entry, the entire group appearing in the entry can only win one prize.
· After a person submits their entry, GMMB will send a waiver form to the email address provided in the submission. Every person who appears in the submission must return a signed waiver. Each person under 18 years old must include signatures from a parent/guardian.
· All entries must be original, unpublished works that have not won previous awards. A person cannot submit an entry for another person without their consent.
· Entries must not show or suggest the use of alcohol, marijuana, tobacco, illegal drugs or firearms/weapons. Entries cannot be sexual, violent, offensive to others, use offensive language, plagiarize another person’s work, or include personal information like last names, email addresses, or physical addresses. Entries cannot break any federal, state, and local laws.
Who can enter
· Washington state residents between the ages 13-18 by the contest’s start date (November 7, 2016)
· Employees of the Washington State Department of Health and GMMB, and their immediate family and household members are not allowed to enter this contest.
· Subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, and regulations. Void where prohibited.
Timing
· The contest begins November 7, 2016 and ends January 20, 2017 at 11:59pm PT.
Prizes
· Up to 50 entries will be randomly selected by Washington State region to win a free Selfie Stick.
· Up to eight (8) more entries will be selected as finalists to be in a professional video and/or photos for the Listen2YourSelfie campaign, and win a Go Pro® Hero Camera.
· To win the grand prize, entries have to be thought provoking original, inspirational, clever, have a unique perspective, and meet all contest requirements.
· The Washington State Department of Health and/or GMMB will email finalists and grand prize winners to let them know they have been selected. If finalists and/or prize winners don’t respond within seven (7) days of the first email, they may not be able to receive contest prizes.
· Grand prize winners will receive prizes after all filming is complete and all waivers are signed by the winner and a parent/guardian (if the contestant is under 18 years of age).
The Washington State Department of Health is able to change the contest’s end date and change either prize to one of equal or greater value at their discretion.
The Washington State Department of Health disclaims all warranties, express or implied, concerning prizes offered in the Contest. Prizes are awarded “as is.” In other words, the Washington State Department of Health does not provide a warranty for any prize awarded with the Contest.
